Head Hunting

Headhunting is a direct and personalised approach that is made to the individual with a high degree of discretion where particular expertise is sought. It is not large campaign management, database mining or social networking.

Head Hunters - or Executive Search Consultants - as they are more formally known - are assignment driven. Their first priority is to obtain a top role from their client companies. Finding the best person in the whole market who can deliver on all the qualities on their client’s list of requirements then should follow, in that order, as opposed to proactively taking candidates to corporations with a view to creating a specific role around that individual’s strengths.

Search" or "Head-Hunting" actually means picking up the telephone, talking to employed executives along the lines of "do you know somebody who...", to build the firm’s own network and feedback relating directly to their current or potential assignments. The target candidate is seldom the one that has received this approach. Some real time is invested by the Search firm in researching and validating candidate capabilities and a shortlist of possible candidates is presented and the best of those candidates chosen by the employer. 

Introductory Meeting

This highly consultative meeting is totally focussed on the needs of your company. We expect to receive clear parameters about the position to be filled and in return we set out the clear parameters within which we will work.

Constructing an Effective Search Strategy

We  use what we have learnt from our initial meeting with you and add it to our own experience to identify two key issues.1) where are the likely candidates presently working and 2) how do we present to those candidates  in the best possible light the opportunity which exists with your company

Candidate Identification & Evaluation

We research as thoroughly as we can the best candidates. Using all our industry contacts we identify people who may know these candidates in order that we have as thorough a knowledge of them as possible.

Where there is a possible fit we discreetly approach to inform them of the opportunity. If we have advertised the position we will conduct an initial screening interview and then  where appropriate a more  thorough in depth interview. I every case we will use behavioural assessment tools and psychometric instruments.

We will provide you client with the interview assessment notes  and the psychometric reports.

Interviewing Candidates

Working closely with you we arrange interviews using our best efforts to get the short leet candidates to your location  on schedule. Following your interviews we debrief you and the candidates acting as a broker between both parties.

Reference Checks & Credentials

We rigorously conduct reference and qualification checks as we strongly believe that the more you know, the better you will understand candidate strengths and weaknesses, which can accelerate the on-boarding process after a candidate is appointed. We can take a full 360-degree approach to our reference checks allowing for a balanced perspective on the candidate.

Choosing the Best Candidate

Up to this point, information has been exchanged extensively on the search details and feedback. The next stage is to decide which candidate from the shortlist is best suited to your need. We will work closely with you discussing the merits of your preferred candidates and help you to select the best candidate for your requirements,

Developing the Best Offer

Experience has taught us that the search process can succeed or fail at this critical stage. Our responsibility is to consult on what it will take in today's market to develop an offer that will close the deal with your selected candidate. We work with your team to develop an offer comprising base compensation, bonuses, equity, relocation and other factors that are acceptable to both you and your candidate.

Negotiating the Best Offer &  Hiring Process

 At this stage we act as your agent presenting the offer to the candidate on behalf of your company. This approach allows both parties to express any concerns  they may have  candidly without compromising any future relationship. Start dates are agreed and we in turn help the candidate to disengage from his present employer in order to start his new career with you .
